Wo kann ich einen Letzte Hilfe Kurs besuchen?

Über unsere Internetseite werden zukünftig alle Letzte Hilfe Kurse in Deutschland angekündigt. Zur Zeit sind es noch einzelne dezentrale Initiativen über die Kurse angeboten werden. Erkundigen Sie sich vor Ort bei der nächsten Hospizinitiative, dem nächsten stationären Hospiz oder schauen Sie in das Programm der örtlichen Volkshochschule,  ob dort Kurse angeboten werden. Where can I attend a Last Aid course?

At the Würdezentrum in Frankfurt am Main, Germany four times per year. Also various organizations offer courses — for example hospice initiatives or local adult education centres. In the future you will find the course dates and locations throughout Germany listed centrally on this website.

What is a Last Aid Course?

A last help course is intended for the general public and imparts knowledge on the topics of death and dying.

Wie lange dauert der Kurs?

Ein Kurs dauert 4 Unterrichtsstunden, also 4 x 45 Minuten

How long does the course last?

One course consists of 4 lessons, each lasting 45 minutes.

Was sind die Inhalte?

Sterben und Tod als Teil unseres Lebens zu begreifen, was passiert eigentlich in der letzten Lebensphase, wie kann ich vorsorgen und welche Entscheidungen sind zu treffen, welche Beschwerden treten in der letzten Lebensphase häufig auf und wie kann ich helfen und begleiten. Das Hilfesystem für sterbende und schwerkranke Menschen und deren Angehörige in Deutschland und regional vor Ort kennenlernen und schließlich alles rund um die Themen Trauer und Bestattung.

What is the objective and content?

To understand dying and death as part of our lives. To inform about what actually happens in the last phase of life. We discuss what complaints often occur in the last phase of life and how they can be alleviated. We provide Information about what precautions and decisions should be made and inform about the support system for dying and seriously ill people and their relatives. Finally we address the topics of mourning and burial.

Wo finde ich weitere Informationen zu den Themen?

Ein wichtiger Teil des Kurses ist auf lokale Strukturen in der Hospiz- und Palliativversorgung hinzuweisen. Fragen wie:  Wo bekomme ich Hilfe und Unterstützung? Wo ist das nächste PalliativTeam, Hospiz, Palliativstation oder ehrenamtlicher Hospizdienst? In aller Regel haben die Kursleiter auch weiteres Informationsmaterial zum Kurs dabei.

Where can I find further information on the topics?

An important part of the course is to guide participants to local organizations in hospice and palliative care. Questions like: „Where can I get help and support? Where is the nearest palliative team, hospice, palliative ward or volunteer hospice service?“ will be answered.

Was kostet ein Letzte Hilfe Kurs?

Ähnlich wie ein „Erste Hilfe Kurs“ dient der „Letzte Hilfe Kurs“ dazu Bürger*innen zu befähigen, also in der Breite auszubilden. Hierfür sollen die Kurse kostenfrei bzw. bis zu einem maximalen Teilnehmerbetrag von 20,- Euro angeboten werden.

How much does a Last Aid course cost?

Similar to a „First Aid Course“, the „Last Aid Course“ serves to empower the public i.e. to train on a broad basis. Therefore, the course should be offered free of charge or for up to a maximum of 20,- Euro.

Warum soll gerade ich einen Letzte Hilfe Kurs besuchen?

Tod ist Teil unseres Lebens, viel Wissen darum haben wir verlernt. Sich mit der Thematik auseinanderzusetzen nimmt Ängste, macht Mut und  hilft das Menschen in Würde gehen können. Bleibt also die Frage: Warum haben Sie noch keinen Kurs besucht?

Why should I attend a Last Aid course?

Death is part of our lives, and we have forgotten much about it. Dealing with the topic reduces fear, gives courage and helps people to walk in dignity. So the question remains. Why haven’t you attended a course yet?

Gibt es eine Teilnahmebescheinigung?

Wie bei den „Erste Hilfe Kursen“ auch, bekommen Sie am Ende eine Teilnahmebescheinigung.

Is there a certificate of attendance?

As with „First Aid Courses“, you will receive a certificate of attendance at the end.

Wissenschaftliche Begleitung?

Die Kurse werden vom Erfinder der letzten Hilfe, Dr. Georg Bollig, beforscht. Dafür werden Sie am Ende des Kurses gebeten, anonym einen Fragebogen auszufüllen. Sie helfen dadurch mit, die Kurse weiter zu entwickeln und den Bedürfnissen der Bürger*innen anzupassen.

Professional Supervision/Scientific monitoring?

The courses are monitored by the inventor of last aid, Dr. Georg Bollig. At the end of the session you will be asked to complete an anonymous questionnaire. This feedback helps to further develop the courses and adapt them to the needs of the public.

Wieviele Teilnehmer*innen sind in so einem Kurs?

In der Regel finden die Kurse ab 6 Teilnehmer*innen statt. Maximal 20 Teilnehmer*innen werden in einen Kurs aufgenommen.

How many participants are there in a course?

As a rule, the courses take place from 6 participants up to a maximum of 20 participants.
